The national chapter originally
started as a neighborhood club in 1954, in Los Angeles, California. The objective of Mrs. Geraldine Jacoway was to provide
educational, and cultural activities for children and teens. Since that time, the organization has grown to several chapters
throughout the United States.
The organization works to strengthen the family by providing reinforcement of the constructive
values that parents try to instill in their children. These values include respect for themselves and others, pride in
academic excellence, and a commitment to community service.
